Privacy

Nothing you enter here is stored, and nothing is sent anywhere. Your skin tone, your estimated phototype and your answers about burning and tanning stay in the page you are looking at, and they are gone the moment you close the tab.

Not stored, not even locally

Most calculators of this kind remember your last settings. This one deliberately does not. There is no cookie, no localStorage entry, and no query string — which means there is no key to list here, no shared link that carries a health answer, and nothing sitting in a browser profile on a shared computer. The trade is that you set the two sliders again on every visit, which takes about three seconds.

The site has no accounts, no sign-in, no contact form, and no <form> element anywhere — the response headers say form-action 'none', and the build fails if a form appears.

What is measured

Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views. It sets no cookie, builds no profile across sites, and records nothing you type or select — which is why this site needs no consent banner. It cannot see the calculator's inputs, because the calculator never emits an event.

In every configuration, one rule does not move: no skin tone, phototype, sun-response answer or any other thing you select is ever sent to an analytics or advertising service, in any form, aggregated or otherwise.

Hosting

SunProtect.me is a set of static files served from Cloudflare's edge network. Cloudflare processes the request in order to serve it, which necessarily involves your IP address; see their own documentation for what they retain. Nothing here runs a server, so there is no application log to keep.
